    Eric Haines: Comedian, Juggler & One-Man Band

    Eric Haines is a multi-talented and award-winning comedian, one man band, singer, guitarist, banjo player, marionette puppeteer, unicyclist, juggler, and stilt walker. Bring the whole family and be prepared to be entertained and amazed!

    Symphony Saturdays

    Enjoy a violin performance by Lawrence Golan, Yakima Symphony Orchestra Music Director, who will be joined by his 7 year old daughter. After the performance, the audience will be invited to try out violins.

    Join us for a performance highlighting the viola and other orchestra instruments, featuring Yakima Symphony Orchestra violist Barb Riley and student musicians from the Yakima Youth Symphony. After the performance, audience members will get a hands-on introduction to the instruments! 

    Hands & Hearts Drumming Workshop

    Kids are invited to find their own beat during this fun-filled drumming workshop! Learn all about the West African djembe drum, follow along with different interactive drumming and rhythm activities, then enjoy drum circle time.

    Libraries Rock! Music by Main Strings

    Rock out at the library during this family-friendly, live musical performance by Main Strings (Diana Roeber & Jeff Main).

    Japanese TAIKO Drummers

    Experience the amazing sound and rhythm of Japan’s ancient Taiko drum at this high-energy, fast-paced show featuring performers from Seattle’s School of TAIKO. Plus, a few lucky audience members will get to try out the drums!

    Alex Zerbe: Magician & Comedian

    Alex Zerbe, a certified and professional “zaniac,” bounces from one end of the stage to the other like an untamed rubber band. Jaws will drop and drool will fly as Alex juggles bowling balls, flaming torches and slices vegetables in half with a flying playing card! Get ready for laughs, wow’s, family fun and a show you’ll remember for years to come!

    Brian Waite Band

    Journey to the musical land of Rockmania, where you’ll laugh, dance and rock out with the Brian Waite Band and their puppet pals!

    Guided Family Hike

    Join us for a fun, kid-friendly hike through Yakima’s beautiful Cowiche Canyon and learn about the diverse geology, plants and animals that call our Valley home. 

    Wear sturdy shoes and outdoor clothes. Walk will be about 2 miles long, will last approximately 1.5 hours (along mostly flat terrain), and will be lead by a trained trail guide from the Cowiche Canyon Conservancy.

    Vikki Gasko Green: Ventriloquist & Magician

    Family favorite, Vikki Gasko Green, is back with her hilarious puppets and magic show! Join us for an afternoon of laughs, stories, audience participation and fun.

    LibraryLab: Make Music with Makey Makeys

    Kids 9+ years old are invited to tinker with Makey Makey kits, where they’ll turn everyday items like clay, fruit and coins into a controller that lets them play instruments on a computer screen. They’ll discover their inner musician while learning why and how objects conduct electricity.

    Ages 9+ years old. Space is limited. Pre-registration required.
