This library began life as the Summitview Library in a leased space within a drug store in the Chalet Mall on Summitview Avenue. Following several moves to larger leased facilities within the Mall, a new facility was built by the Yakima Valley Libraries in 2012. West Valley Library is located at 223 South 72nd Avenue.
