    Citizenship Corners

    Our Citizenship Corners include basic information on how to settle in the United States, how to learn or improve English proficiency, how to become a citizen, and more!

    Museum Passes

    Reserve FREE passes to the Maryhill Museum of Art with your Yakima Valley Libraries Library Card.

    Jobs & Career Center

    Our Career Center is available at the Yakima Central Library at 102 N 3rd Street, Yakima, WA. You will find practical information on topics such as job-hunting skills, choosing an occupation, education sources and employment agencies. Our librarians are trained to help you with any questions.

    Mobile Resources

    Apps and online services for mobile phones, tablets and eReaders: OverDrive’s Libby App (Android / Apple), and OverDrive App (Kindle).

    Private Study Areas and Rooms

    Study areas and private, glass-enclosed study rooms available on a first-come, first-served basis. Sign in for study rooms in person at selected locations (Selah and Sunnyside Community Libraries).

    Printing, Copying, and Scanning

    Printing is available from all library computers. Cost of black and white printed and/or copied pages is $.10/side. You can scan documents or photos using the copy machines available in YVL locations. Please visit our Hours and Locations page and filter by the “printing and copying” or “scanning” amenities.

    Charging Stations

    We have new charging stations in different library locations! No need to worry about your device’s battery while using the free Wi-Fi any longer! As a reminder, don’t leave your device unattended, the Library is not responsible for anyone’s personal belongings. For more information, please contact us.

    Proctoring

    Proctoring services are available at no charge to residents and YVL cardholders. Students interested in having an exam proctored should contact us well in advance of their exam date (at least 48 hours ahead) to make the necessary arrangements.

    Bilingual Staff

    Many community libraries have bilingual staff (Spanish and English) to offer support in both languages when needed. For more information about the community libraries with bilingual staff, please visit our Hours and Locations page and filter by “bilingual staff” amenity.

    Early Literacy Station

    A dynamic all-in-one digital learning solution for children ages 2-8. It requires no Internet connection, so it is safe and secure. The ELS features more than 60 educational software titles spanning seven curricular areas. The educational titles are pre-loaded on the computer. Available in English, Spanish, and French.

    Self-Checks

    YVL patrons will be able to check out or renew their library materials at self-serve kiosks, print a receipt, and pay fees with a credit or debit card. Find them at these locations: Buena, Granger, Mabton, Toppenish, Moxee, West Valley, Selah, Sunnyside, Yakima Central, Wapato, and Zillah .
