Certifications – Microsoft and More

    Advance your career with the Microsoft LinkedIn Learning pathways and become certified by taking any of our numerous certification exams on productivity, computer science, IT infrastructure, and data science.

    • YVL library card

    Learn: Prepare and learn using resources from LinkedIn Learning, accessed with a valid library card and PIN.  Use “yvl” if asked for a library ID.

    Practice: Take a practice exam.  To be eligible for a free certification voucher, you must pass 2 practice exams in the GMetrix software program.  A passing score of 85% or better is required.  Visit the GMetrix website to Download GMetrix and create a free account. Contact us for an access code.

    Certify: Create a free account at certiport.com and read through Certiport’s page for test candidates.  Schedule a test by contacting us.  Note: Test dates are limited and 1-2 weeks advance notice is required.  Al tests are now proctored in person.  Virtual proctoring is no longer offered.

    This service is provided in partnership with the Washington State Library, via funding from Washington State for the Microsoft LinkedIn Learning Program.

    Please bring your library card and a photo ID. We will provide a laptop that you will use to take the test. We cannot guarantee a quiet test location, so earplugs are encouraged if you are easily distracted.

    Thanks to a partnership with the Washington State Library, Yakima Valley Libraries is able to offer exams free of charge to our customers.  Requirements include passing 2 GMetrix practice tests with at least 85% and that you reside within Washington State.
