El día de los niños/El día de los libros (Children’s Day/Book Day), commonly known as Día, is an annual celebration of children, families, and reading. The celebration emphasizes the importance of literacy for children of all linguistic and cultural backgrounds.


Join us at Sunnyside Library and Yakima Central Library on Saturday, April 27th for exciting Library events for the whole family! Event activities will include storytimes, book giveaways, balloon toys, sticker murals, temporary tattoos, cotton candy, and more. A variety of community organizations will also host information and activity tables. 

Sunnyside Library

Yakima Central Library
Saturday, April 27 @ 2PM – 5PM

All other Library locations will celebrate with drop-in crafts and treat bags for kids. Visit Buena, Granger, Harrah, Mabton, Tieton, Toppenish, and Zillah Libraries on Friday, April 26th during library hours; and visit Moxee, Naches, Selah, Terrace Heights, Wapato, and West Valley Libraries on Saturday, April 27th during library hours.
