StoryWalk

The StoryWalk® project enables children and adults to enjoy reading and the outdoors at the same time! Each StoryWalk® includes pages from a picture book displayed on posts set-up in parks or other outdoor recreation areas. As kids and families stroll along the designated walking path, they’ll be able to read-along as the story unfolds, one signpost at a time.

During the first phase of this pilot project, one of two StoryWalk experiences will rotate through four parks and nature areas in greater Yakima. Each StoryWalk® will be available for the public to enjoy between the hours of 10am-6pm, Tuesdays through Sundays, based on the schedule below.
