Good news! Yakima Valley Libraries is implementing a phased reopening of some community libraries for limited in-person service.
While we are aware that this is long-awaited news for many, it is important to remember that in-person services do not (yet) mean a return to normal library services or hours.
So, before you plan you next library visit, please closely review the following:
Health and Safety Measures for In-Person Library Services
- A mask or face is covering required for entry
- Building capacity is limited and monitored
- Library visits are limited to 30 minutes per day, per person
- Computer use is limited to 30 minutes per day, per person
- Patrons and staff must maintain at least 6 feet of distance from others
- Place all library returns into an outdoor book drop
- All returned materials will be quarantined for 48 hours
