Yakima Memory is a collaborative project by Yakima Valley Libraries and the Yakima Valley Museum. Funded by a grant through the Washington State Digital Images Initiative, the project involves the preservation and digitization of documentary evidence of local history and cultural heritage.
These materials document the history, culture, and industry of Yakima County, Washington from the territorial period through the mid-twentieth century. Here you will find photographs, maps, private papers, newspapers and historical manuscript collections that have been digitally preserved and made available online.
Images in this collection are available for use in research, teaching, and private study. Such use does not include publication in print or on the Internet without prior written permission from the copyright holder.
