
Yakima Valley Libraries is seeking an experienced, collaborative leader to serve as our next Director of Public Services & Communications. This is an opportunity to shape library services across a 15-branch regional library system serving diverse communities throughout the Yakima Valley.
The Director of Public Services & Communications provides strategic leadership for systemwide public services, working closely with library managers and organizational leadership to ensure exceptional customer experiences, innovative programming, equitable access to library resources, and operational excellence. This position plays a key role in advancing organizational priorities while supporting staff development, continuous improvement, and community engagement.
We’re looking for someone who is an experienced people leader, values collaboration, and enjoys balancing strategic planning with day-to-day operational leadership.
